Francesco Taskayali (Rome, July 4 1991) is a young Italian composer and pianist who started composing his own music at the age of thirteen. Following his two successful albums, Emre (2010) and Levent (2011), and after two years of touring in Italy and around the world, on March 2014 Francesco released his third album, Flying.
His talent derives from being able to blend his study of classical authors to the modern and contemporary styles ranging from Keith Jarrett’s jazz to Ludovico Einaudi’s minimalism. Taskayali’s eclectic music and taste even surprised the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela on May 9th at the 2012 European Piano Festival, organized by the Representation of the European Union in Caracas to commemorate Europe Day. Taskayali’s talent determined his commendation as the only exponent artist of the Italian delegation.
Throughout the years of 2011 and 2012, Francesco received awards at numerous festivals and signed a contract with the British company The London Sales Ltd. In addition, he sold his piano tracks to short film producers and various clients including TIM Italy Spa, an Italian mobile phone company.
During his international tour, Francesco performed in London, Paris, Cologne, Rome, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Athens, Marseilles, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Bucharest, Jakarta and also Berlin, where he was invited to play on June 2nd 2012 to celebrate the Italian Republic Day.
On December 12th of the same year, he completed his world tour and reopened the Italian tour in the Auditorium of the prestigious university of LUISS Guido Carli, leaving the audience bewitched.
The concert was a success both within the university as well as outside of it, and was reported by major Italian newspapers like “Il Messaggero”, “La Repubblica” and “Il Corriere della Sera”. Taskayali re-entered the Italian stage in 2013 by playing in different cities, in particular in Naples during the artistic exhibition of Effetto Museo at Villa Pignatelli. Moreover, the young pianist composed soundtracks for documentaries and advertisements broadcasted by Rai.
Taskayali became a testimonial of Luiss Guido Carli thanks to the recognition of his talent: the University acquired his music and image rights for the 2013 “Together We Become” advertisement.
The new year of 2014 opened with the release of his third album, Flying, and with the achievement of many of the young pianist’s goals. On April 2nd some of Taskayali’s songs became part of the soundtrack of the documentary “Ocho Pasos Adelante” displayed in the ECOSOC Chamber of the United Nations Headquarters in New York, in occasion of the 2014 World Autism Awareness Day. On the same day, the documentary was projected at the Auditorium del Massimo in Rome during a performance of the young Master.
During 2015 and 2016, Taskayali went on playing his own pieces in the most popular and important musical events in Los Angeles, Kiev, Lviv, Milan, Maratea and Turin. In Los Angeles he was among the Italian artists to perform at the Make Music Day on June 21st 2016, while in Kiev and Lviv he took part in the XVI edition of the Italian Culture Week promoted by MAECI. Moreover, he was presented as a “recognized genius” at the 28th December New Year charity concert-Nino Surguladze and friends in Tbilisi, which was live broadcast by Imedi Tv. Anyway, the most important goal he achieved in 2016 was joining the Italian label INRI Classic and Warner Classics, which today is the pride and joy of.
Inspired, sensitive and enormously talented in experimenting different techniques and styles of musical compositions, Francesco Taskayali’s constantly growing artistic personality is now unmistakable for his increasingly large public.
